Questions around where to live to better utilize the global offerings come into play. Questions such as how to make a living and how to deal with taxes arise. Questions about how you believe the future will look and where we are heading will also be present? After many years seeing this development, hearing from our surrounding and our customers about their wishes and concerns, Strategica set out to investigate these topics back in 2008, just after the financial crises. People reached out to us trying to understand how they could eliminate financial risks going forward, while at the same time also reducing the feeling of insecurity in their lives. Back at this time Strategica was working more as a business advisor, helping individuals and companies with investment strategies etc, but through these market events we saw requests changing. People were now not only talking about how to act in their local environment, they were now instead ready to start taking bigger and more radical steps to change their situation.
For us at Strategica, who already had started seeing small changes prior to the crisis, it was still an eye-opener. We first set out to evaluate what our previous customers had seen as fundamental and important in the past. What were they really looking for? What was essential for them in their lives? What had made them more keen of a change? What did they mostly focus on? What made sense to them? What kind of people were really our old customer base? All these questions served as a basis for us to start investigating the global market, and the countries that then would fulfill most of those essential components. We became aware of some vital differences between countries and the way they care for both businesses, and the individuals within those businesses, hence the actual people living and interacting in the environment, their so-called residents!

The years have gone by. We are now in the second half of 2021. We have seen an uprise in the economic environment in the last 10+ years that is unprecedented. We are hopefully in the latter part of one the worst pandemics of all times. The global environment is becoming more and more local, even though many would have thought that the Corona Pandemic would take us back in time, take the interest away from the world scene, and instead try to go back in time to the “old” local again, but its rather the opposite. At Strategica we have seen a massive interest from both businesses and individuals who are now looking to become even more agile. Today its about being able to change environment quickly. Its about having the opportunity to be more mobile. Its about giving the chance to momentarily, or permanently, reside in a place with less bureaucracy while at the same time making it financially attractive.
At Strategica we listened and recognized these changes in behavior. A couple of years ago we set out to streamline our business to eliminate offerings that no longer were attractive. These were services our new customers really didn’t see any real value in anymore for different reasons. We previously offered residency programs in countries all over the world, many were very attractive in the past, but with the world rapidly changing, have become less interesting and desirable. Today Strategica is solely focusing on Paraguay for the following reasons. First, as already said, it’s clearly the best country to be a resident in when it comes to being agile and mobile. It gives the resident a possibility to live in the country permanently, or if wished for, reside elsewhere in the world and still keep the residency in Paraguay. In other countries this fact is mostly unheard of. They request that their residents reside a certain minimum period of time within the country to keep the residency permit, hence a direct contradiction of the development of the new world order, namely, to be mobile.
A second important element of why Strategica solely focuses on Paraguay comes down to the cost for our customers. There is no other country in the world that offers a permanent residency requiring so little investment. In some countries you need to pay tens of thousands of dollars to become a resident, most countries even hundreds of thousands. These countries talk about their golden visa programs etc, but as a matter of fact, it’s both very complex and very expensive.
